Hi again!
I’m Maira Prado.

Thank you for stopping by!

Who am I?

I am a passionate and motivated UX designer who loves to help people through user-centered design and accessibility.

My journey to becoming a UX designer has been a fascinating one. Before becoming a UX designer I was a lawyer working in the Prosecutor's Office in Brazil, where my ultimate goal was always to make a positive impact and assist others. While some might see the transition from law to design as a big leap, the core values guiding my career have remained consistent. My desire to help others has been a guiding light throughout.

The turning point came when I relocated to the United States and faced the decision of whether to pursue law school here or explore new career options. To gain some experience in the legal field, I worked as a paralegal in the special education area for a non-profit organization. At this point, I discovered my passion for UX design and accessibility, and made the bold decision to change careers.

In order to acquire the necessary skills, I enrolled in a UX design and frontend program. Most recently, I had the opportunity to work at Google, where I gained invaluable experience in designing innovative and user-friendly digital solutions. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is creating products that cater to everyone, regardless of their abilities.

Beyond my professional life, I am an amazing dog mom who enjoys long walks, a good cup of coffee, and immersing myself in nature. My personal mission is to serve others and strive for continuos improvement every day.
